The Trust was set up early in 2008 by a group of local residents and was officially launched later that year. The Trust was officially registered as a limited company and a charity in Scotland in July 2008. Since then the Trust's Directors have been working with various groups (Perthshire Housing, Fairfield Housing Co-operative and Perth & Kinross Council)to find various ways of improving the facilities etc for the residents of Muirton Park. The Trust has organised, amongst other things, two Litter Picking days, Bag Packing in the local Supermarket, and a Gala Day. We also have regular meetings with our Supporting Bodies to discuss the needs of our local community.
The aims of the Trust are very simply to work with the various local agencies and the community to improve, in as many ways as possible, the lives of the residents of Muirton Park, to foster a good community spirit and to make the area a safer and better place to live.
