What's the Climate Challenge Project all about?

It's all about finding best ways to save energy and therefore money
It's about learning how to grow some of our own food (vegetables & herbs etc.)
It's about trying to buy more locally produced (Scottish) food - this saves on "Air & Sea miles" which use up huge amounts of energy in the way of fuels.
It's about learning more about saving fuel in terms of "car miles" - share if you can.
It's  about many other things as well as the ones mentioned above.
The Trust have now employed a Climate Challenge Co-ordinator to manage all the aspects of The Climate Challenge Project which will take place over the next 12 to 15 months.

Introducing your Climate Challenge Project Co-ordinator.

Hilary Kennedy comes to us after having worked for Perth & Kinross Council and was based at the Fairfield Community Centre.   She has plenty of experience in the fields of Project Management, Working with Communities and is a well qualified Teacher and Landscape Architect.   Those of us who have already met her find her easy to get on with and very enthusiastic about the Project she is about to undertake.

Hilary will work for and with the Trust's Board of Directors but the Project cannot be successful without the help and co-operation of you - the Residents.

Hilary and her team will be carrying out door to door surveys related to the Project and will be ready to give advice on all matters to do with the project.

An Advice Centre will be set up at the Community Flat (3 The Rookery) once all the details have been "sorted out".

Hilary and her team can be contacted in the following ways:-
